Anita Faruk Internship Experience with Links Microfinance Bank

Anita Faruk

I am Anita Faruk: I would like to express my gratitude for the opportunity to serve with your organisation during my National Service Programme. It has been an enriching experience, and I am thankful for the knowledge and skills I have acquired. This past year has been a valuable and transformative period, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of your team.

My journey so far with DLM Capital Group has been helpful and educational. My role in Links MFB (SofriBank) as a front desk/loan recovery officer involved interacting with clients to address their queries and provide information about loan products. These interactions honed my communication and customer service skills.

Also, in the loan recovery aspect, I played a crucial role in working closely with clients who faced difficulties in repaying their loans. This involved developing customized repayment plans, negotiating settlements, and ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines. I learned the importance of empathy and problem-solving in this aspect of the role. I made a commitment to excellence, aiming to consistently meet and exceed expectations.

During my time here, I had the chance to develop my skills by taking some professional courses such as customer relationship management, human resource management, and project management. The training programmes and on-the-job experiences were invaluable in enhancing my professional abilities.

I greatly appreciate the collaborative environment at DLM Capital Group. Working alongside professional and dedicated colleagues in Links MFB allowed me to learn from their expertise and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.

DLM has been instrumental in my professional growth. I had the chance to attend training sessions that further broadened my horizons and kept me updated with industry trends.  (DLM corporate comms never fails to do that).

The inclusive and supportive company culture at DLM made coming to work a pleasure. I appreciated the emphasis on work-life balance and the strong sense of community within the organization.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my supervisors, Dr. Banabas Okwudibie, Mrs. Yetunde Abiodun, and the entire Links MFB team for their mentorship, guidance, and trust in my abilities. Your support has been instrumental in my success.

As I move forward in my career journey, I carry with me the knowledge, experiences, and relationships cultivated during my time at DLM. I look forward to staying connected and continuing to contribute to the organization’s mission and vision in any way I can.

Once again, thank you for the incredible experience at DLM Capital Group. It has been a year of growth, learning, and personal development that I will always treasure.
