I am Blessing Mbuk: My NYSC experience with DLM Capital Group has been nothing short of extraordinary. I am grateful to DLM Capital Group for providing me with the opportunity to work with experts from the moment I arrived. My exposure to real-world job scenarios has been extremely beneficial in shaping both my career and personal development.
My primary responsibility is to provide excellent customer service. This includes being nice, approachable, and helpful when answering questions and resolving problems. I maintain tight confidentiality as a front desk officer to ensure confidence and compliance with privacy standards.
During busy periods or emergency situations, I attempt to maintain my cool and handle things professionally. I think on my feet and come up with solutions to unanticipated problems. I am well-versed in office applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and email. I attempt to maintain the reception area clean and organised, coordinate appointments and calendars, and manage many jobs at the same time.
I’ve developed positive interactions with a wide spectrum of people. I have learned proper phone etiquette, which includes managing incoming and outgoing calls and providing support and information. I open and upgrade accounts for loan and POS customers, maintaining records of POS terminal serial numbers and reporting to my supervisor daily.
I would like to use this means to request a work laptop, as it will enable me to complete my tasks more quickly and efficiently.
As a front desk officer at Links Microfinance Bank, I’ve learned to flourish in a fast-paced atmosphere and have gained critical abilities that contribute to the organization’s success and provide excellent client experiences.
During my service, I took a few courses on Coursera. I also signed up for a CIPM course.
Dealing with challenging and disgruntled customers has been one of the most difficult aspects of my job. While it can be difficult, I’ve strengthened my problem-solving talents and interpersonal skills to better please and assist these customers. My favourite memories from this job are when I successfully assisted consumers in resolving their financial difficulties.
As I continue my journey, I will carry the information and skills I gained during my service year at DLM Capital Group with me, and I am excited about the opportunities ahead of me.
