Do you give loans?

Yes. All you need to do is enter the required details and apply for a loan on the go. Our minimum loan amount is N5,000 and the upper limit for a new customer is N5,000,000.

If I open an account, will I get an Atm card?

Customers can apply for the card by filling out an application form or applying online at the bank's website. All Sofri account holders are eligible for a Sofri Card. 

How do I download the Sofri Mobile App?  

You can download the Sofri Mobile App from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. 

Is the Sofri Mobile App free to download? 

Yes, downloading the app from Google play store or App store comes at no cost. 

How do I create a  Sofri  account? 

Step 1: Enter your phone number and email address, then tap “Create Account”.  

Step 2: You will be redirected to the OTP page.  An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your registered phone number or email.  Enter the OTP to continue.  

Step 3: Fill in your personal details, including:    

  • Personal information
  • Username  
  • Password  
  • Transaction PIN  
  • Next of Kin information  
  • Accept Terms and Conditions to proceed 

Step 4: Log in using the username and password you created.   

  • To complete your account setup, provide a valid BVN.  Once your BVN is verified, account number is generated and will be displayed on your dashboard - confirming successful account creation.  

To upgrade your account to Tier 2 – Enter a valid NIN 

To upgrade to Tier 3 – Provide your address, once the address is verified, your account is upgraded to Tier 3.   

How do I register on the app with existing account? 

Download the app and follow the registration instructions using your account details and DOB. 

Can I view my transaction history on the app?

Yes, you can view your full transaction history by navigating to More > Transaction History. This section provides details of all your transactions.    

How to Download Your Statement of Account

Log into your  Sofri  account.  

Go to Settings.  

Select “Request Bank Statement”.  

Choose the start date and end date.  

Tap “Request Statement”.  

What do I do if I forget my Password? 

Select Forgot Password on the settings page to reset password securely. 

My account is locked after wrong password attempts, what should I do? 

After three failed attempts, your account will be locked. Please contact support: hello@sofritrustmicrofinance.bank to activate your profile.  

Is Biometric Login available? 

Yes, fingerprint and facial recognition are supported on compatible devices. 

Can I pay bills through the app? 

Yes, you can pay bills and make utility payments directly on the mobile app.  

I was debited for a failed mobile app or card transaction

Automated reversals are immediate. If an immediate reversal does not happen, rest assured that reversal will happen within 24 hours of transaction. 

Debited for Card Transaction? 

Automated reversals are immediate. If an immediate reversal does not happen, it takes 48-72 hours to get a reversal.

Why Is My Transfer Still Pending?

A transfer may remain pending due to delays from the recipient’s bank or temporary  system downtime.
Please wait patiently.
If the transfer remains pending for an extended period, failed transactions are typically reversed within 24 hours.

How do I access a Sofri Nano Loan?

To request a loan on the  Sofri  App:  

  1. Download the Sofri  Mobile App from your Play Store or App store.  
  2. Create an account and complete your  KYC.  
  3. Transact regularly using your Sofri account.  
  4. Tap Loan Request on the app.  
  5. Allow location access when prompted.  
  6. Enter your loan amount and reason.  
  7. The system will automatically check your eligibility, and loan offer is displayed on the dashboard.  

Loan eligibility depends on:  

  • Age (18 years and above) 
  • Transaction history  
  • Valid debit card 
  • Credit history
How much can I borrow? 

₦5,000 – ₦100,000 depending on eligibility and credit profile. 

How long does approval take? 

Typically, less than 5 minutes.

What is the interest rate?

Rates vary by credit profile, loan amount, and duration. They are displayed upfront before acceptance. 

What happens if I miss repayment? 

Late fees apply, credit score may be affected, and future loan eligibility reduced. 

What types of loans does Sofri offer?

We provide a range of loan options tailored to your needs:  

Private Sector Loan  (For employees earning ₦200,000+, with a valid official email address (other T&Cs apply).  

Public Sector Loan  (For government workers)

Do I need internet to use the USSD code?

No. USSD works on all mobile phones and does not require internet or data.

What should I do if the USSD code shows an error?

Check your network signal, ensure you dial the correct code, and try again.  

If the issue persists, contact customer support.
